Commentators: Alex Riley & Tony Dawson

Championship’s roll call: WWE Champion: John Cena… World Champion: Alberto Del Rio… Intercontinental Champion: Curtis Axel… United States Champion: Dean Ambrose… Tag Team Champions: The Shield… NXT Champion: Bo Dallas… NXT Tag Team Champions: Adrian Neville & Corey Graves… Diva’s Champion: AJ Lee… NXT Women’s Champion: Paige

The Usos vs. 3MB (w/Heath Slater):   I really enjoy the Usos including their unique entrance. 3MB gets a pretty big pop for their entrance, actually. Jimmy and Mahal open the match as they have an “us” versus air guitar battle; Jimmy nails a shoulderblock and then a double chop off the ropes. Jey tags in and works he arm; 3MB regroups on the floor so both Uso Brothers leap over the top with planchas as we head off to break. We return with Mahal knocking Jey to the floor where Slater nails a Whammy Bar leg lariat. McIntyre heads out there as well and rams Jey into the apron and barricade a few times. Back in the ring, 3MB takes over with some double teams and Mahal goes to the chinlock. Jey frees himself but runs right into a high knee and a tag to McIntyre; he chops in the corner but that serves to piss the Samoan off and he fires back with knife-edges of his own. Drew maintains control however and gets a two count. Mahal returns and hits the chinlock again… stomping, also some stomping. Jey fights back out of nowhere including a Dragon Whip to knock McIntyre off the apron. Here’s the hot tag to Jimmy who kicks and chops everything in sight. Slater hops up on the apron and gets launched with a leg lariat; a Samoan Drop and Samoan Avalanche follow. Drew interrupts the count and gets sent to the floor. Both Usos wipe Mahal with a double superkick and finish with the Headshrinker Splash.   4/10 An Uso win keeps them as the hot babyface team heading into Summerslam; perhaps they’ll get a legit tag title match at a PPV (and not on the preshow).

The first Raw highlights are the contract signing between John Cena and Daniel Bryan; after that is angry CM Punk and Paul Heyman making the Best versus the Beast official. For my full Raw recap: click here.

Layla vs. Alicia Fox:   They lock up and Alicia gets a cheapshot in the ropes; Layla fights back and hooks a figure-four head scissors in the ropes. She hits a low angle dropkick and drop-toe holds Alicia onto her face and slaps her ass. Giggity. They battle on the apron and Layla gets a butt-butt on the apron. Giggity. She tries to head back in but Fox catches her with a dropkick, sending her tumbling to the floor. Back in the ring, Alicia gets two. Layla makes a quick comeback but Alicia hooks her in the ropes and chokes her with her leg. Flexible. Foxy gets two so she hooks a leg scissors in the ring. Layla makes her comeback and gets a bridging cradle for two. She nails the LOL but only gets two. She charges but gets planted with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Layla fires back with the Bombshell kick and gets three.   2/10 Nothing too special here; not awful just meh. Layla gets a win.

OVERALL 3.5/10   Not much in the ring this week; as with last week, the opening contest is entertaining but the remaining portions (unless you missed Raw) are useless.
